Delete from within the app

The fastest way is from the app itself, which removes your account immediately:

1. Open Committee Boat HQ and go to the Profile tab.
2. Scroll to Settings and tap Delete Account.
3. Confirm. Your account and associated data are permanently deleted right away.

This works the same on both iPhone and Android. You'll need to be signed in to your account to do this.

Request deletion by email

No longer have the app installed, or can't sign in? Send us a deletion request and we'll take care of it. Email us from the address on your account and include your account email so we can find it.

What gets deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes, with no way to recover it:

• Your profile — name, email address, and sign-in credentials.
• Your boats — boat names, sail numbers, and handicap ratings.
• Races you've hosted, and your registrations and results in races you've joined.
• GPS location traces recorded while you were racing.
• Your credit balance and stored payment-customer record.

What may be retained

A few things aren't tied to your identity or are kept only as the law requires:

• Other racers' data. Races and results created by other people stay with their accounts, even where you appeared in the same fleet.
• Transaction records. Where we're required to keep purchase or tax records, our payment processor may retain them for the legally mandated period. These aren't used for anything else.
• Aggregated data. Anonymous, aggregated statistics that can't be linked back to you may be retained.

How long it takes

Deleting from within the app is immediate. Email requests are confirmed and completed within 30 days, and typically within a couple of business days.
